The 7404VGP VoIP 802.11g ADSL2+ Firewall Modem/Router packs powerful features into a single device to provide home and SOHO users with economical VoIP calls, along with the mobility of wireless and the benefits of high-speed and safe Internet access. The world-leading Gateway feature “Least Cost Routing” enables users to choose the most economical rate of VoIP calls provided by a range of Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSP). The device features two FXS ports which offer dual lines for VoIP making calls. The additional FXO port enables you to also make calls through PSTN Fixed-line. Internet access is safely protected from hacker attack by unparalleled Firewall security features such as SPI, DoS attack prevention, and URL Content Filtering. The Quality of Service feature ensures a smooth net connection for inbound and outbound data with minimum traffic congestion.

Making toll-quality VoIP calls is very simple -- just connect the router to your existing telephone handsets. The BiPAC 7404VGP complies with the SIP protocol, the most popular VoIP industrial standard, to ensure interoperability with SIP devices and major VoIP Gateways. The Gateway feature “Least Cost Routing” offers the choice of the most economical rate provided by ITSPs. One RJ-11 FXO port is integrated to pass inbound and outbound calls transmitted through PSTN Fixed line, so that users can even receive phone calls from PSTN while enjoying VoIP service at the same time. In addition, outgoing calls will be automatically redirected to PSTN when the Internet or VoIP service is not available. The router also supports a wide range of telephony features, such as call waiting, silence suppression, line echo cancellation, caller ID and so on.

Express Internet Access
The router complies with ADSL worldwide standards. It supports downstream rate up to 12/24 Mbps with ADSL2/2+, 8 Mbps with ADSL and upstream rate up to 1 Mbps. With this technology, users enjoy not only high-speed ADSL services but also broadband multimedia applications such as interactive gaming, video streaming and real-time audio.
The BiPAC 7404VGP-M supports Annex M for ADSL2/2+, providing higher upload speeds by doubling the upstream data rate.

Wireless Mobility
With its integrated 802.11g Wireless Access Point, the 7404VGP offers quick and easy access and mobility to users, sharing the wired network, wireless network, and broadband connection (ADSL). In addition to 54 Mbps 802.11g data rate, it is also backward compatible with existing 802.11b equipment. Wireless Protected Access (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) features enhance the security level of data protection and access control via Wireless LAN. If your network requires wider coverage, the built-in Wireless Distribution System (WDS) repeater function allows you to expand the wireless network without using wires at all.
