The NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 is the industry-leading high-end workstation graphics
solution for CAD, DCC and visualization applications. Featuring outstanding
performance and quality, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 high-end product deliver 256MB
frame buffer memory, up to 42.2GB/s memory bandwidth, 256-bit memory interface
and support for ultra high-resolution panels up to 3840 x 2400 for ultimate
productivity.
The FX 3500 product features a revolutionary new architecture with 2x the
geometry and fill rate, 5x the hardware pixel read-back performance and 1.30x
the memory bandwidth of previous generation workstation graphics. Implementation
of rotated-grid FSAA function introduces far greater sophistication in the
multi-sampling pattern, significantly increasing color accuracy and the visual
quality of edges and lines.
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 model supports NVIDIA SLI (Scalable Link Interface) --
an innovative new technology that intelligently scales graphics performance
through multiple NVIDIA GPUs in a single PCI Express system. SLI scales both
geometry and fill rate/pixel shader performance for two GPUs using various
methods, including inter and intra-frame scalability algorithms. And depending
on the application, NVIDIA SLI can deliver as much as 2x the performance of a
single GPU configuration for unparalleled working experiences.
Quadro FX 3500 introduces a new era of graphics image quality at unprecedented
performance levels. The Rotated Grid Full-Scene Anti-aliasing (RG FSAA)
increases color accuracy and visual quality for edges and lines, reducing "jaggies"
while maintaining performance, and sets new standards for image clarity and
quality through 32-bit per component floating point. This algorithm solves what
has traditionally been a compromise between performance and quality.
Leadtek Quadro FX 3500 features dual 400 MHz integrated RAMDACs and two
dual-link DVI parts. Some high resolution panels such as Apple's 30-inch Cinema
HD Display require dual-link DVI to drive its massive amount of pixels. The
30-inch Cinema Display has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600, which exceeds the
bandwidth a single TMDS link can deliver. To support two 30-inch Cinema
Displays, you need a special high-end card with two dual-link DVI ports such as
FX 3500. It supports a maximum 2048 × 1536 × 32bpp at 85Hz resolution over VGA
port and a 3840 × 2400 × 32bpp resolution over digital port. The Dual-link TMDS
transmitters support ultra-high-resolution panels which result in amazing image
quality producing detailed photorealistic images.
