Whether working the sidelines at a football match or capturing the magnificent
beauty of a woodland waterfall, the E-520 is built to please. Enjoy all the
versatility of a professional D-SLR with built-in image stabilisation for
crystal-clear results no matter how intense the action gets. Plus, thanks to the
stabiliser’s direct integration into the camera body, its benefits can be
enjoyed with the entire range of Four Thirds-compatible lenses, from the new
ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm 1:4.0-5.6 wide angle lens to the higher-performance
ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 70-300mm 1:4.0-5.6 (equiv. to 140-600mm in a 35mm format).
The E-520 lets you keep up with the best of them: fast sequential shooting at up
to 3.5fps and as many as eight images in RAW buffer means you get what you came
for. And to ensure impeccable image quality, the TruePic III image processor has
been incorporated, delivering brilliant shots with exceptionally low-noise and
high-speed performance every time.
Professional-grade photography has never been this user-friendly. The
E-520’s ergonomic body sits comfortably in your grip, while contrast* Live View
proves a handy companion when framing and reviewing shots – also from various
angles. Monitoring settings like white balance and autofocus in real time is a
cinch on the 6.9cm/2.7” HyperCrystal II LCD, so you always stay in control. In
addition, Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment Technology work to detect and
optimise human subjects and shadowy areas automatically. And the availability of
32 scene modes in all means it’s quick and easy for users to adjust settings for
a variety of shooting conditions.
As the newest member of the E-System family, the E-520 enjoys compatibility with
virtually the entire range of E-System lenses and accessories. Wireless flash
units FL-36R and FL-50R can be used to create remote control flash set-ups,
while more than 20 ZUIKO DIGITAL lenses – all of near-telecentric construction –
are also available, covering a focal range of 14-600mm (35mm equivalents). This
includes the newest additions to the E-System lens line-up, like the
soon-to-be-released ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm 1:4.0-5.6 (18-36mm) as well as ED
14-35mm 1:2.0 SWD (28-70mm), ED 70-300mm 1:4.0-5.6 (140-600mm), and the 25mm
1:2.8 (50mm) pancake lens. And for capturing motifs up to 40m below the water’s
surface, a special underwater case will also be available.
