Nikon Keymission 360 - Adventure-proof 360° video VQA020AA
No Longer Available
The Nikon KeyMission 360 Action Camera simultaneously captures two 180°+ images in up to Ultra HD 4K resolution at 24 fps and allows you to view them as one.
Imagine being able to capture not just the view in front of your eyes, but the entire world around you—in every direction—as lifelike 360° 4K Ultra HD video. You'd be able to tell stories that make your friends and family feel like they were there. KeyMission 360 opens a new world of richly immersive 360° experiences that can be viewed and shared on a smartphone. Compact, lightweight, waterproof and wearable, it frees you to follow your storytelling instincts, wherever they may take you. Welcome to the future.
Fully immersive 360° videos and photos
Share experiences in a whole new way. KeyMission 360 uses two NIKKOR lenses and two image sensors to capture the view in front of your eyes as well as scenes you can’t see—including yourself within the 360° world—with brilliant Nikon image quality. The result is seamless 360° video and photos, free from blind areas, that will make your friends and family feel as if they were actually there.
The camera may be unable to capture subjects within about 60 cm/2 ft from the camera’s top, bottom, or sides because the subjects are outside the angle of view (i.e., the area visible in the frame). Point the lens toward important subjects when shooting. Under some shooting conditions, the boundaries of the composited areas may be misaligned.
Waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof with no additional housing
Follow your storytelling instincts everywhere they take you. With no additional housing, KeyMission 360 is waterproof down to 98-feet*, freezeproof down to 14°F and shockproof up to a drop of 6.6-feet. Create immersive 360° videos of a child's first bike or sled ride, a skiing or snowboarding run, cannonballs in the pool, fun at the beach, snorkelling and diving adventures—any experience you want to relive and share.
4K Ultra HD video with electronic Vibration Reduction
KeyMission 360 records the entire view—all 360° of it—as breathtaking 4K Ultra HD video, a resolution four times higher than Full HD. Information about the camera's horizontal, vertical and rotational movements is recorded and then used to counteract vibrations and shakiness during playback for smooth, steady videos. But you're not limited to video—you can also create time-lapse sequences, ultra-smooth slow motion videos or 23.9-megapixel stills.
Built-in Wi-Fi® with Bluetooth® for instant sharing
You'll want to share every amazing 360° video and photo, so KeyMission 360 makes sharing a breeze. Videos from the camera can be quickly viewed, edited and shared with a compatible smartphone and the SnapBridge 360/170 app. The app maintains a constant connection with KeyMission 360, giving you the power to set up the camera, shoot remotely, change settings and automatically transfer and share photos, all from a smartphone.
The camera is in initial pairing standby mode at the time of purchase (pairing refers to the setting used to connect the camera and smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth). To shoot without pairing, turn on the aeroplane mode switch on the camera. If you turn off the aeroplane mode switch, the camera will return to initial pairing standby mode.
Since KeyMission 360 doesn’t have a monitor, the dedicated app “SnapBridge 360/170” is required to set up this camera, use remote photography, play back images, change settings and more. Before setting up the camera, install the dedicated app on your smartphone or tablet. Wireless communication is not available when the camera is underwater.
Mount and go
Compact and lightweight, KeyMission 360 can be mounted just about anywhere. It includes a standard 1/4-inch socket for attaching to existing accessories, and Nikon offers more than 10 versatile mounting accessories: adhesive and suction mounts, helmet and wrist straps, a chest harness, KeyMission extension arm, handy grip and more. Find unique angles for every mission.
In-the-moment viewing
360° video can be played with Nikon's dedicated KeyMission 360/170 Utility and SnapBridge 360/170 app and a compatible smartphone. To help you get started with immersive viewing, KeyMission 360 includes a cardboard head-mounted smartphone display that allows you to look around a scene in a manner resembling virtual reality.
Simple video editing
Nikon's KeyMission 360/170 Utility makes it easy to edit your videos with a compatible smart device. Trim your videos and make them look the way you want so people can relive the excitement, then share them on social platforms that play 360-degree videos.
