The Optotec MAX4 Basic is a compact, single-ended, dome-type closure designed for efficient fibre management in FTTX network deployments and other outside plant applications. This closure effectively supports fibre splicing and the integration of passive components, streamlining installation and minimising space requirements. It is compatible with micro-sheath, ribbon (IBR), and dielectric cables, accommodating a variety of common cable diameters.

Featuring a secure quad-lock clamp-gasket system, the MAX4 Basic ensures a reliable seal between the base and dome, providing excellent environmental protection. It includes one oval entry port for looped (uncut) cable and four round ports for drop cable entry/exit, all designed for use with cold application kits to eliminate the need for flames. The closure also offers practical uncut midspan tube storage to enhance its functionality in complex network setups.

Specifically, the MAX4 Basic supports up to 2 SAMR splice tray modules, enabling up to 144 fibre splices. It is equipped with a pressure test valve and includes a wall/pit mounting bracket for versatile installation options. The design prioritises effective fibre management, maintaining a minimum 30mm bend radius to ensure the integrity of uncut fibre cable management.

The MAX4 Basic is engineered for durability and reliability, with an IP68 rating for high environmental protection and an IK10 rating for impact resistance. Its user-friendly latch closing system simplifies installation and maintenance, and it is designed to perform in a broad temperature range from -40°C to +70°C.
