Optical Fibre Warning Tape

This black on yellow plastic identification/caution label is used to provide a permanent indication that here runs an important optical fibre cable that should not be disturbed. The label draws attention to “third parties” that there is an important cable. It is used in manholes and pits along the cables route in a dry position in the external/outdoor/field environment. The adhesive-backed label is wrapped typically twice around the cable. Individual label turns are strategically positioned in manholes and pits along the cables route, to identify individual optical fibre cables. The caution label is positioned in a prominent location in the manhole or pit to identify the cable/s. The label should prevent unnecessary disturbance to or movement of an installed optical fibre cable.
