The DGS-1008MP features eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that support the IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard. Each of the eight PoE ports can supply up to 30 watts, with a total combined PoE budget of 140 watts, allowing users to power up to eight IEEE 802.3at-compliant devices without requiring an additional power supply. This allows devices to be installed in locations without their own power outlet, saving on installation costs and reducing the time it takes to install new devices.
