| Description | The Synology DiskStation DS1525+ is a 5-bay, compact NAS designed for home and small business use. Powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 8GB DDR4 ECC memory (installed), it supports dual M.2 2280 NVMe slots for caching or storage, built-in dual 2.5GbE ports with link aggregation/failover, and a PCIe 3.0 x2 expansion slot for a 10GbE module. The unit supports five hot-swappable 3.5"/2.5" SATA drives natively and can scale with up to two DX525 expansion units (supports up to 15 total drives). DiskStation Manager (DSM) provides RAID (SHR, 0,1,5,6,10), backup, synchronization, surveillance, and many other NAS services.
