| Description | The ioSafe 218 is a rugged 2-bay, diskless NAS engineered for total data protection. Powered by a Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) motherboard and OS, the 218 provides RAID 1 redundancy, remote access and a large app ecosystem for backup, file sync/sharing, surveillance, photo management and media streaming. The enclosure is fireproof (up to 1550°F for 30 minutes per ASTM E-119) and waterproof/IP68 rated (fully submersible in fresh or salt water to 10 ft / 72 hours). Security features include a metal Kensington lock slot, optional floor-mount kit and hardware encryption. Hardware highlights include a Realtek RTD1296 quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU, 2 GB DDR4 RAM, two drive bays (up to 24 TB internal capacity, capacity varies by RAID type), 1x Gigabit Ethernet and 2x USB 3.0 ports. |
