The Novaris RJ45-1CAT6 is a high-performance surge protector engineered to safeguard critical equipment connected to twisted pair network cabling. Designed for versatility, it is fully compliant with CAT5, CAT6, and CAT6A standards, supporting high-speed data transfers up to Gigabit/1000BaseT. Whether your infrastructure uses Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) or Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cabling, this protector ensures uninterrupted performance and robust electrical isolation.
Equipped with a dual-stage protection strategy, the device features a 10kA Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) per signal pair to dissipate massive common mode surges. This is followed by a silicon-based secondary protection element that provides a rapid response to transients, ensuring your sensitive network electronics remain protected without sacrificing signal integrity. Its low attenuation (1.7dB@220MHz) makes it ideal for high-bandwidth environments.
This protector is fully compatible with PoE, PoE+, and High Power PoE standards, capable of passing up to 1A of current per signal pair at 80VDC. This allows for the deployment of advanced Gigabit PoE systems with 4-pair power delivery reaching up to 160W. Its compact aluminium enclosure with a black powdercoat finish provides a durable, professional-grade solution for both industrial and commercial network installations.
To ensure maximum reliability and safety, the RJ45-1CAT6 is tested against rigorous international standards including IEC 61643-21 and UL 497B. It features a direct earthing system and can be mounted via a TS35 DIN Rail or as a flying lead. For remote end earth isolation to prevent current loops on network shields, the RJ45-1CAT6-EC90 variant is also available, ensuring comprehensive protection across your entire network span.
