| Description | The Sophos SD-RED 20 Rev.1 is a compact, fanless remote Ethernet device that extends secure site-to-site connectivity for branch and remote locations. Designed for plug-and-protect deployment with Sophos XG/SG Firewalls, it automatically establishes an AES-256 encrypted VPN tunnel to the central firewall once connected to the internet. The appliance provides 4 x 1GbE LAN ports, 1 x 1GbE WAN (shared with an SFP port), 2 x USB 3.0 ports and a micro-USB management port, and supports optional Wi‑Fi (802.11ac 2x2) or 3G/4G LTE modules via a single modular expansion bay. Rated for up to 250 Mbps throughput, the SD-RED 20 includes a multi-region power adapter and supports an optional second (redundant) power supply. A Network Protection subscription for Sophos Firewall/UTM is required to manage and operate SD-RED devices. |
