| Description | The QNAP TL-R400S is a short-depth 1U rackmount JBOD enclosure providing four hot-swappable 2.5"/3.5" SATA drive bays (SATA 6Gb/s). Designed to expand storage for QNAP NAS, Windows and Ubuntu computers and servers, the TL-R400S delivers 1:1 single-lane SATA connections per drive for improved transfer performance and supports multi-lane Mini-SAS connections (SFF-8088 or SFF-8644) providing up to four SATA 6Gb/s channels per cable (24Gb/s total). The unit includes a QXP-400eS-A1164 PCIe SATA expansion card, a Mini-SAS (SFF-8088 to SFF-8088) cable, a 100W internal power supply and mounting/accessory hardware. Storage configuration and RAID can be managed from a QNAP NAS using Storage & Snapshots (QTS / QuTS hero) or from Windows/Ubuntu using QNAP JBOD Manager. Compact depth and multiple fan modes make it suitable for dense cabling environments. |
