The switch uses a non-blocking, store-and-forward architecture to forward and filter packets at full wire speed, offering 48 Gbps switching capacity and a packet forwarding rate of 35.7 Mpps. It supports a 10 KB jumbo frame, an 8K MAC address table with auto-learning/auto-aging, and IEEE 802.3x flow control (full-duplex) and backpressure (half-duplex). Energy-efficient features power down idle ports and adjust power based on cable length to reduce consumption (typical savings up to 20%). The fanless design provides quiet operation.
